No power from amp

Ok just got my friends zeus xx in it is suppose to be 1600wrms at 1 ohm

we are trying to set it with a dmm but are barely getting any voltage out of it max is around 40v. Ive hooked it up in 2 seperate cars. any ideas the amp is brand new

didn't mean 40 meant around 20v. i should be getting 40.

what test tone are u using?

Is the eq flat? Set filters to all pass? Set hu preout level adjustments to 0db? Is the test tone -0 db?

Im in Scranton area of PA.

It is a 40hz test tone.

And we fixed the problem he has a stock hu so the voltage coming from the rca jacks wasn't even turning the amp on so we changed the gain on the rca voltage converters and were able to get 42v with gain on amp at about 55%
