Its been a looong time since ive been here or posted(cant even remeber my old username)

I have a 2008 dodge dakota and desperatly want some bass, however there is not a single place to put a subwoofer.

I was thinking about looking into some 6.5" subs that ive seen around, and putting them in the rear doors in place of the regular speakers.

Am I better off doing this or just replacing with some aftermarket speakers.

If so any recommendations?

Whatever I do I will be installing an amp to power, and I will also be replacing the front stage with some components.

(Recommendations also appreciated)

several companies are coming out with powered subwoofers that are built for applications such as this. I know I have seen one on soundstreams website. Kicker had also just released one I have heard good reviews on. They are shaped similar to amplifies but have unique subs in them. Will they win spl comtests, no, but they will give you a bassline. They should fit under or behind the rear seat. Or you could build a downfire box between the center consile and the rear seat like stated above.

the console is small..wouldnt be able to fit anything there.. between the console and rear seats sounds like the best idea..any recomemdations for an 8". box volume will be tiny
