GT-R is one of the few cars I want to drive but haven't. Just had one come to the state championships with a pretty good driver. Looked good and put down good times.

I have "played" with a few, on the tail of the dragon, while I was in my Z. (At ZdayZ)

The only guy that really pushed it up there was in his shop's GT-R and he campaigns the car on the Time Attack circuit. (Calls it "the dancing elephant")

Um the GTR isn't a drag car, to claim you beat it you have to win on it's own game. 60k into a muscle car = you still lose.

The original claim was the gtr's beat lesser/cheaper muscle cars at their own game, not that a muscle car would out corner a gtr. I simply pointed out the $ difference in the comparison.

viper acr is one of my favorite cars and one of the fastest cars at any price..

eats gtrs for lunch 0 to 60 or on the track..

dosn't the corvette (stock) cost less?

faster on the track?

better top speed?

faster accel?

I think the zo6 is a hair faster but not in the 0 to 60..

and for the money the stock vert with some suspension adjustments and a blower smokes gtrs..

No it isnt... The ZR1 cost around the 125K range...

Never driven an ACR but the "regular" Viper I drove doesn't give me the impression that it could do what the GT-R I "played" with could do.

It has massive tires and a very agressive diff, but I doubt it can dig out of corners like the GT-R. Probably has an edge in raw power, but it will start a 1/4 mile a length or two back, and lose time on just about every corner exit against a GT-R.

Thats pretty much all anyone needs to see... We can all sit and argue knowing we will never one but when the guys from Top Gear are that impressed compared to what they have driven thats insane for an 85K dollar car that has everything...

the NEW gtr is much faster then the ZR1 is.

I see the dealer here has a gran sport I think I'm going to go for a drive if they still have it this spring when it's warmer.
