Drop that $80k into said muscle car and then race.
That being said, the GTR will obviously be a better all around performer than a 60's muscle car. I mean, its a very successful 2012 AWD super car versus a 1960's era daily driver platform with a large engine in it (and usually homemade). But again if you want to talk about 'at their own game', you really should compare realistic examples. For $80k, that 68 camaro would have slicks, a 572 or bigger, squeezed, injected, nitrous, ***** brake, etc... and would blow the doors off the GTR in a straight line.
