Nissan GTR is king of the hill

Drop that $80k into said muscle car and then race.

That being said, the GTR will obviously be a better all around performer than a 60's muscle car. I mean, its a very successful 2012 AWD super car versus a 1960's era daily driver platform with a large engine in it (and usually homemade). But again if you want to talk about 'at their own game', you really should compare realistic examples. For $80k, that 68 camaro would have slicks, a 572 or bigger, squeezed, injected, nitrous, ***** brake, etc... and would blow the doors off the GTR in a straight line.

I dont know why Im bothering, these threads are always silly.

GTR > * , although the new 600hp Mustang looks pretty fappy

hahaaha one of the guys that i work with has a 1968 camaro with a 427 thats running a blower on it and hes got 13" drag slicks. I would love to see this GTR 1/4 mile that. Hes making 800 rwhp with the stock pully on the blower. That thing is crazy. he quartered it at 7.74 seconds. Thats the fastest car ive ever been it. But hes got quite a bit more invested in that that the GTR's prolly lol

Exactly... I love the GTR but to say it walked all over cars in the 1/4 is pretty dumb since I bet none of those cars had 85K into them lol...

Um the GTR isn't a drag car, to claim you beat it you have to win on it's own game. 60k into a muscle car = you still lose.

Of course the comparison will always come up. " we'll I can dump 60k into this to beat that" , "faster can be built for less", bla bla. When you look at it from a point of , it's only a v6, it's a road course car , it is as practical as any everyday driver, and with 10-15k invested in the motor will run 9s all day for under 100k I think it's a pretty good buy. Good thing the Internet wasn't around when a little car came out inthe 80s called a gnx, cuz there would be more hate on how or why a heavy v6 was spanking v8s.

Meh. Different strokes for different folks
