do the m6 drivers sound muddy or sloppy at all? i was thinking about he drt 25 silk tweets and the 480 xover.... what do you think

Have you owned CDT before? I don't think any sets sound muddy... The ones I've had are tight and reproduce the music very well. It all comes down to your source. With higher end components you notice imperfections really fast.

I haven't had a chance to hear my set yet, (M6 mids, braxial upgrade kit, drt-26 modular set, TW-19 image tweeters, ES-200US crossovers) but I can't wait. Like I said, I have a team mate using the M6 as a midbass and he loves it. He's thinking about switching out his 2 sets of eD 6500's and going all M6 drivers.

if you really want to save money on cdt speakers, go to the source! Buy some vifa mg speakers (eurosport) and run active. That or use the higher line vifa pl series.

oops. never mind. I was going to reccomend some Pioneer Premier 720-prs components but they are a bit out of your price range.

That's an excellent recommendation from the reviews I've read. They could be had for ~$250.
