1000 watts or better is optimal from what i hear from my dealer, i dont have that kind of power to play with right now so i cant tell you from experience.

I heard a single 12 inch L7 and the i heard a single 10 inch L7, and i liked the 10 inch. It has more then enough bass, with keeping the clarity(i wonder if I spelled that right?) Plus, it's a little cheaper. Or go with a 12 inch L5.
