they did go with legacy until he imploded in the playoffs

I was never sold on Osgood. I did like Legacy, though.

I think they should've kept Joey Macdonald. He's doing pretty decent on the worst team ever assembled in Boston.

Lundy has been nuts the past few weeks. He's REALLY stepped up his game.

The Rangers have been playing extremely well the past few weeks. They could be dangerous going into the playoffs.

And it Icelanders are done. DP is out indefinitely, and Dunham is one of the worst goalies in the league.

I was never sold on Osgood. I did like Legacy, though.

to this day i still don't know how they won the cup in 98 with osgood. i remember game 5 against dallas in the western conference finals giving up a goal from center ice.

also iirc the previous round he gave up a long goal to al mcginnis

I don't know what Hasek you've been watching but you're completely full of shit. The only thing Hasek does that I can't stand is coming out of the net too much to try and play defenseman. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I would rather he stayed in the net ALL THE TIME but what are you going to do.?? But I've yet to see him cry for a penalty over it. I think you're just hating on him soooooo much that your mind is making stuff up. Stop hating and get a life.

If you don't know how then you obviously weren't watching the Red Wings back then. The Red Wings gave up the fewest shots on goal while putting the MOST shots on goal in the league that year. That team was one of the BEST teams ever assembled PERIOD !!! When you have that many GREAT players around you it makes the goaltender that much better. Osgood NEVER had to saddle the team on his back because they were just that good. Whenever that 98 team got a lead they would absolutely put down the CLAMP and allow very few shots on goal after that. AND, they also had the ability to come back from behind.

Have you ever watched Hasek play? Seriously...

He flops worse then Brodeur...he just did it last week!!

He tried to headbutt someone, he fell, they scored, and he cried to the ref. He flops at the near sight of the opposition coming remotely close to the crease.

You've clearly never watched him play enough to know what he does. It's blatantly obvious to ANY other NHL fan. Oh well.

If I was hating on him, I wouldn't sit here and acknowledge what he's done in his career...he is going to go down as one of the better goaltenders in the history of the game...there's no denying that. But, he's NOT a team player- this is well documented, even from players around the league. He's historically flopped like a fish out of water, and folded come playoff time.

Ok, he has done it to try and draw a penalty. Whats your point with all this anyway? Who is YOUR team?

After seeing the pathetic 3rd period meltdown by the Red Wings last night I really don't see them winning the cup either. Its like with 8 minutes to play they STOPPED playing and went back on their heals. None of the goals were Hasek's fault either, he played a solid game. If they don't make it anywhere in the playoffs and lose some games like they did last night there is NO guarantee that Babcock will be back next year.

When a team just slows their intensity like that it has to be the coach.

I hope Hasek is done after this season, he's just tarnishing his career at this point...plus they need to start thinking about getting Jimmy Howard into the NHL...he has the potential to be an excellent NHL tender.

There really isn't much to criticse to be honest. They can ONLY get better. Not possible to get much worse at this point.

Would be nice to see some youth between the pipes. I would have to agree with you on that. The Red Wings need to commit with a young tender and stay with him instead of looking for free agent tenders that are past their prime.

I think it was dumb to get rid of Joey Mac...he has shown some decent promise with the horrid Bruins.
