dude seriosly stop saying Calvin dont run routes.. he is the best talent at WR in the league, and maybe EVER.. if youd watch a Lions game every now and then and saw the horrible oline and QBs throwing him the ball then youd know a little bit

Jerry Rice was not as good as every one made him to be. Im sure ill get hammered for this but think about it. Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith and a few others are getting things done with sub par or average QB's at the most or QB's that cant be protected long enough to throw the ball. Jerry rice had one of the best QB's to ever play the game and when you have that, you will look better than you are.

Calvin Johnson does not dominate the league because he gets double covered every play. The best things the lions couldve done was kept Roy Williams and used him to supplement calvin and get calvin more opportunities but the Lions are moving in the right direction regardless and he will dominate more and more as time goes on.

you cant compare new to old!!! different era!!! game was a lot more physical back in the day!! a lot of these dudes now couldnt get off the line with an old school cb playing bump and run all the way down field. plus rice is the #1 wr of all time HANDS DOWN!!!

and calvin johnson is a threat to score at all times. but like I said, he isnt a route runner like fits, wayne, or welker!! if you want a deep threat, c.johnson or moss is the best!!! but if you want a do it all wr, I would go with another wr!!

Everyone has room to improve. And theres not many recievers in the league that have been around long enough to break his records. Give fitzgerald, Marshall and johnson, and moss time and im sure theyll take a few.

Marshall is the best all around. Call me bias or not. He doesnt have a great QB,yet he manages amazing numbers. Does amazing things after the catch. Welker is not a threat deep, Any WR could do well with Peyton manning throwing to them. And well Fitz is amazing.

if Jerry had Trent Edwards or Jamarcus Russell throwing to him you would think he was average at best

Calvins only 24 years old, imagine if the lions get Okung and a few other olineman amd Matt develops into what many think he will
