Hi all,
So do to money constraints have been building my system up gradually over the past year and a half. Right now I Am happy with it however, I am wanting a little more thumping bass. Currently when system is at low volume ( maybe normal everyday listening level) there is not a lot of bass. The bass really thumps and shines when volume starts to get about 2/3 of the way up ( but this is not more normal listening level all the time. I am hoping by adding another subwoofer it will help the low end and also kick more A** at the top end. I have never heard a system with two subwoofers installed. So anyways here is my setup so far. I have a Rockford Fosgate 50x4 amp feeding front components and two rear speakers. I have JVC KS-AX4302 amp ( 100x2 bridged) 200 watt feeding a Bazooka 12" subwoofer in an enclosure. Now the input I need is best option for a second 12" subwoofer. I am not an audiophile so system doesn't need to be perfect, just wondering on a budget which is best way to go. My thoughts are to just buy another amp and another subwoofer and get another enclosure for it. Also, do I have to match the same exact subwoofer or can it be a different brand. Also, on the amp does it have to be the same wattage or can I drive one with 150 amps and the other with 200 amps. Or would just keeping the amps I have now and reconfiguring ( use rockford for both subs and JVC for speakers) create more bass. Although this would drive two subs with 100 watts each versus the other way which would be approx. 200 watts per sub. Any input would be greatly appreciated. THx
