newbe to car audio, with some questions

Hi i am new to this site, and i have a couple questions to be answered. My truck is an 87 s10 regular cab and at first i wanted to make a console box.(i have been into auto body for like 2 years now so i am pretty good at fiber glass and other things like that) and i was going to fill it with a alpine type r 12.

Now that i have been thinking about it i realy dont want to spend a crap loud of money on my subs about 80-140 for one or two 12's or 15's. i have heard of jbl before but never even thought about them until i saw a gto series on line.

so here are the questions:

are the jbl gto series 12 and 15's anygood?

would an alpine 12 sound better?

what amp should i run with the jbl's, i want to run 2 of the jbl's, i would only like to spend around 100 bucks for the amp?

is there any better subs that you would recommend that are in my price range?

i have a 91 gmc sonoma reg cab...

i ran 2 12'' jbl gto's in a seald box of a 800w amp and it sounded awsome... for a reg cab truck!!!

yeah i was wanten to talk to someone that owned them and see what they thought of them. do you still have them or did you upgrade? i think i wanna go with the 15's

good luck with the 15's!!! being they will need more airspace... and bairly if not fit behind or even in the center console at all...

i pulled my jbl gto's out!!! my truck is totally stripped right now.. putting air ride on and doing a all fiberglass dash, door panels, and center consol..

as far as sub's in my truck.. im doing a blow threw with 4 10'' fi ssd's ported...
