People drop 700 for a w713 all year round, another 700 for a 1000/1.... then another 400 for 2 layres of dynamat extreme all over their car. Then another 300 on componets and 200 on a componet amp, then 500 on an Alpine CD player... like money is a problem, they will sell and if they can justify that SURELY something with better performance can be justified.

Im not saying its worth 700, im saying we need to hold up on specualtion to wether or not 700 is worth it or not.

How does RE sell MT's with no T/S Params avalable...they certianly fly like hot cakes.

How does DD justify over $1,000 for a 9900 series?

How does Adire justify 6,000 bottom end for a dipole driver with output no better then what a couple of $500 woofers in a large enclosure and a powerful amp cant produce.

How does MTX justify a 22" driver?

How does Kicker Justify over 1,000 retail for a SoloX 18?

How does BMW justify 100,000 for an M5 when similar quality and perofmance can be had for half that?

How does Austin Maritn Justify anything it makes

How do you justify Amps at over $500/w?

How do you justify $3,000 for a TV?

I could go on and on forever...

it WILL be able to move that far in most anyones daily set up.

Actually, maybe not.Maybe it'll be just like the MTX 9500.I have yet to see a 9500 reach full xmax in any daily set-up.And I've seen upwards of 1600 thrown on them.All look and not so much action.........

But maybe the RE will actually be able to reach XMAX in a daily set-up, who knows.The fact is no one except people at RE.

almost everything you listed is mainstream, re is not mainstream, not now, maybe later...... rich *****es with money or spoilded kids, or whatever, but the jackhammer, 13 w7's, astom martins, bmw's........ there mainstream brands......RE has about 5% - 10% of JL's sales i would bet, but the thing with RE is, people who dont have a addiction, or see car audio as a hobby never know what RE is, i had no idea who RE, ADIRE, ED, AA, DD, was until i found ca.com.... if they were as mainstream as JL they would sell 50 times more of the new XXX's than what they are going to sell..... i dont really know what im trying to say, but i dont think 700 will be worth it......not yet anyways

The point was that people will still be able to afford it. If people will spend 100k on a beamer that won't out perform a $5000 camaro with a little work, then why won't they spend $700 on a sub that might not out perform a $400 one?
I am sure RE will still sell a bunch of them, they will just have to market them to different people and it will be more difficult to sell as many as they did before.

im sure they will, i know i wont be buying one soon, unless people will hit 155 with a single sub for a daily trunk setup..... im just saying I, my opinion, which isnt wrong... is its to much for something i know little about.....its kind of like the PS3.... except it has no price..... everyones waiting for it... but no one knows that much about it..

RE probably has more like 5 percent of JL's sales.

I'll admit, I'm been a big fan of RE, hell, its the only brand of subs I've bought new. They treated me great, etc, etc. But I dissagree with their marketing technique, they should release the pics and T/S parameters at the same **** time, but they know more about this crap than me. 700 Does seem like alot, but they will sell pretty **** well, come on, its the RE boner and a new sub. It WILL sell fairly well.

First Id just like to say....WTF to RE....friggin tell us like 10 months ago that its pretty much ready....or at least that rumor got out somehow and it was said for a whiiiiile that it would be in the 500 dollar range, and no more....whatever, dont say anything unless its true and official. I almost put down a payment in October for 2 of these, hearing that they would be out almost for sure by Thanksgiving....I would have been PIIIIIISSED! Ive gone through 2 other systems since then, and I would have still been waiting for this thing...come on.

The main difference here, is when you get the Beamer...your not just looking for power...your looking at the rest of the car with it.....Everyone, or almost everyone looking for the XXX is looking for power.

Look whats happening to the W-7 now...more of the General public is being told about all these other private companies, because they have products that are just as good, for A LOT cheaper prices.

There are a lot of things i disagree with in the way RE does business.

They can give prices, yet they can't fing give specs? Obviously if they have a projected price, then they should atleast have a projected specs.

It seems they design/build re build so on and so forth, then try to factor in how much it will cost the customers.

Don't give me a price, especially if it's Dealer pricing, which is like NEVER the same as what dealers tell you anyway.

Dealer in NYC wanted like 650 for the Old XXXs.

So RE can' keep their fing Prices, give me some specs!

PS: I guess people REALLY don't have a **** clue how much complete custom fabrication of parts, specifically metal parts can cost. Especially to be cast...and other such tight regulated parts...

Kinda like this bad boy here which can be bought for about 500 bucks and is just about the best you can find as far as custom fabrication of parts, specifically metal. It is I must say one of the top 3 looking subs to go along with its above average performance.

I could think of alot of reasons why the wouldnt come out with something on the unofficial predited date of release when trying to put together 3 new lines...2 of which looked to have required pretty extensive development..
