New World Driveby record at MECA finals

Drive-by is fun to watch and fun to compete in. Not only that, the fused classes of DB are pretty nerve racking and suspenseful because there's always the chance your fuses will blow. It also demonstrates a competitor's knowledge of system design because it is extremely hard to find the right medium of volume, fuses, power, frequency, and the list goes on.

The sport is clearly dying with MECA finals having 20-30 cars less then last year. Including mine. At least Drive-by is a bit more fun to watch then watching a bunch of burpn' beatty's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Definitely dying.

The only org. that I see growing is bassrace. 2005 bassrace finals had something like 5 cars. 2007 had a "few" more than that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yup, and its based on measuments on the termlab for an average for 30 seconds, with 2 second sample intervals.
so in other words, you must have a song that beats hardest at your peak fequency .... consistantly throughout the song.
I know in the past you had to be rolling and couldnt stop,is it different now?I saw Erics run and looks as if he was stopped in front of the mic.

You've always been allowed to stop at the mic. At least since I've been competing (2005)

Back in 2005 and prior it didn't matter as much because it was a peak hold measurement, but from 2006 and on it's been a rolling average so car position is just as important as song selection. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Some people's vehices can be futher away than others from the mic and still do better. It has alot to do with how your vehcile decompresses and the incidence of the wave leaving your windows/sunroof/whatever. For example, my jeep does alot better not quite up to parallel with the mic stand vs. being directly across.
