New uses for subwoofer packaging

A friend of mine bought some Power Acoustiks subwoofers, and I kept the boxes they came in because I knew I'd find some use for them eventually. "Eventually" came today when I decided I needed some storage space on my motorcycle. Here's what the box looks like:

I drilled some bungee cord holes in the sides and added some screws to the back to keep it centered:

The PA logos look pretty ghetto, so I'm in the process of repainting. Here's the top just after I put on the last coat of paint:

After it dries, I'll put the hardware back on it and do something similar for the sides.

Hot bike, isn't it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It's a 91 Kawasaki EX500 I picked up cheap. I got my license Friday (just in time for the gas "crisis," woo), and I didn't want anything nice for my first bike.

It's a good thing, too, because the same friend who gave me the boxes also helped me trailer the motorcycle home, and he actually dropped it while trying to unstrap it. It wasn't even off the trailer yet. You'd be hard pressed to notice a new scratch or dent in amongst the old ones on this bad boy though.
