Changed the hardware in my trunk this year to conserve space and finally added some sort of finishing touch to it all. By far not a show install, but rather a clean one for a daily driver that cant compromise space nor conveniences (spare, etc..). Its a grocery getter and baby hauler.

I went from 3 Arc xxks (2 on a rack, one under the seat) amps to 2 DLS Ultimate A7's(wired one amp per side).

Rainbow Platinum tweets 60rms each

Usher domes 60rms each

8" Lotus midbnasses see 200rms each

Rainbow Profi 12's wired @ 1.5 ohm drawing in the neigborhood ~500+ rms each

if this is a grocery getter, i would scoop some of those gunmetal grills for those rainbows right quick. you know those high excursion ones with the 4 bars.

otherwise it looks real nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so ive always wondered in situatiuons like this - having that board across the trunk does not cancel out the bass at all?

i could never understand that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Yes , actually those partexpress type grills are exactly what Rainbow uses on their prefab enclosures. I was thinking the same thing. BUT, i have a Nissan cargo net that came with my car thats pretty tight, sturdy and I have clips through out the trunk in diff spots. I actually attended an ECA meet yesteday with my wife and daughter and took her stroller in my trunk, and that thing wasnt moving no where near the subs.

As far as cancellation goes...its not a sheet of mdf, its thin hardboard that was carpeted and then wrapped in suede- it also does not seal the trunk off, matter a fact there was absolutly no difference in bass response than without it.

lol cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and you are hitting the same number my two IDQ15's were hitting with 600w IB. i cant wait to hear them with like 500~600 each in my next car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

wish i could hear it man. and i was just in jersey yesterday too. ****.

I'm surprised no one has commented on how shoddy the bezel looks on the third pic...hehe:eyebrow: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Its not screwed/capped in against the box...so that angle I took the pic from exposes some gaps/shadow behind it and material, as well as not being perfectly level.. As you can imagine suede isnt the easiest fabric to work with, and had to be wrapped over a layer of carpet to hide the irregulaties of the hardboard. It was done last minute before a meet, but another will be made later down the road so didnt want to fasten it to the box and put holes in it.

But its all good, this is basically the rough copy of the look I'm going for..

wow...very nice setup.i heard your old setup

how does this one compare to the 1 i heard be4

Oh man, every driver on the fronstage has changed since Sept. The car is still pretty ballzy, although it lost a tad of headroom. Tonally its a better car, more dynamic midrange, and my pride lies in the bassline definition...its nice! And I havent tuned yet. lol
