New to the whole sound system thing...clarifications?

Alright...so I just purchased my first sound system (2) Infinity Reference 1252W, along with a BOSS (which I've heard good and bad from....) GT1000M..it's a mono block....and this one guy told me that he ran (2) 12" off of it.... but I look at it..and it doesn't look like it's possible.... You can hook up two subs to it, just hook up both sub positives to the positive speaker output on the amp, than take both sub negatives and hook up to the negative speaker output on the amp.
