Hello to all, seems to be a vast information here on the forum. I have been reading through the threads for about a week or so. I have grown familiar with some of you who post a lot and have quite a bit of knowledge. Great to have you guys around sharing.
I would like to ask for some suggestions from some of you.
Basically I am installing a basic system in my 94 Toyota 4wd pickup. I acquired through a friend a Alpine CDA-7894. From what I have read here the consesus is that this is an older but great head unit.
My dilema exists with what speaker setup to go with. I have almost no space in the cab but do have enough room for some 6x9's in the back behind the seat. I am looking at the Alpine SPS-69C3. I am a bit worried that they will be muffled behind the seat, but I do not have much choice. Then to fill the stock front speaker locations 4 inch Alpine SPS-10C2.
The head unit puts out 60W, as I have read here that is not the actual output that I will see so I understand that.
I mainly just need some guidance in terms of what this might sound like in the cab or other suggestions from the group. I have listend to the speakers at hifibuys and they sound ok.
I mainly listen to rock so I am obvioulsy not looking for the big boomy bass type thing. I would like to hear some kick and I like the drums to be pronounced in my music so keep that in mind when responding.
I am mainly kind of stuck on the possibility of getting a little better quality speaker and possibly and amp, but I am unsure of exactly what I will get with the increase monetary input.
My budget is around a few hundred give or take a little.
Any suggestions or information would be appreciated greatly. As well I plan to continue searching and reading on the forum.
Thanks,
Dbow
