ok... i installed a pioneer head unit and speakers in a ford probe. 6.5's and 6x8's. will an amplifier help the overall speaker sound and sound quality or would it just be a waste of time and money? am planning on installing sub and amp in the future, but looking for sound quality inside at this time. any input would be great.

Amps are a must for any system

ok so what type and size amp should i use for this setup?

hu: pioneer deh6800mp

front: pioneer 6.5's

rear: pioneer 6x8's

maybe a pioneer amp? a nice 2 channel would work well, keep the rear powered off the HU

but will that help with bass at all? i know i need a sub and amp, but i have almost no CLEAN bass now. powering only the fronts would just increase this problem, wouldn't it?

get some baffles it will help alot with the bass

an amp will generally you an overall cleaner sound and improve the quality alot

night and day difference

and will the speakers distort if i amp them? bass wise
