New test..IA 20.1 vs. Kicker ZX2500.1 vs. Orion 2500D

yeah, aren't they rated at 2 but able to hande 1ohm?
Okay, so they are rated at 2, and for arguments sake, let's say they will get 3k @1. Wouldn't 2 Kickers (which may not need as much current) still put out more juice than the strapped IA's (which have already created a current draw issue)? I am not trying to be argumentative here, just curious.

Its already been shown that at 1 ohm a 20.1 can put out 3kw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I didn't know that. I was thinking that a pair strapped put out 5500 (or maybe I need to retain a little more of what I read) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If this test is not done as a bench test would. All results are null and void. You need a stable testing environment to be able to extract viable outcomes...

It will how ever give a practical application estimate.

Alittle over 2500w rms @ 12v //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Loyd is getting a little more, but I am unsure of his voltage. Cant be more then 14v

by measuring current and voltage via true rms clamp and dmm..
and doing the math

P = IV

P = 54 * 58.2

p = 3142.8

impedence

R = V/I

R = 58.2 / 54

R = 1.07 ohms
