New system

Hi guys, a buddy of mine has a i think 2000 GMC sierra, and he's wanting to get a pretty good system. he's wanting to put a boot and cover on the bed and use that as a space for his system. He wants something that is solid and really loud and will last him awhile. thinkin he might want to go to a couple local comps depending on how well all this goes. price range around 2-3k$ ne ideas? subs, amp, HU, he'll prolly need a new alt to. 123go!

you can build a hell of a system with 2 or 3 g's

yeah but like whats a good amp and subs to look at? im thinkin ill have him get a pioneer 780 HU and i was thinkin a Fi BTL or maybe just some BL's, and a kicker amp, but i don't really know. need suggestions =D

Pretty **** loud setup

Stetsom 7kd, 2 fi BTL 18" w all options

sundown audio 100.4 for highs with nice components

3-4 extra batteries

100ft of 1/0 guage wire and a GMC alt at least 200 amps.

Lots and lots of dynamat

and make sure you get a good box built.

probably over budget unless you are talkign about just subs.

other amps Sundown audio 3000D, kicker 2500.1, it all depends on what subs you are running. Two 15" L7's with a kicker 2500.1 would impress most.

too many variables to start listing equipment, ask more specific questions...

yeah thats probably over budget lol. what he mentioned he thinks he's gonna do is buy RF Power series subs, idk all that much about RF, im more of an Fi man myself =P how about just one 18? or two 15's BL's instead? would that be good?

if it was me i would go with just 2 Memphis MOJO 15 quad 1 ohm coils n a Memphis car audio slot port box n Memphis MOJO 4kwd amp n 0 guage wiring with a kinetik battery all that will run about $2200 is what my local dealer told me n about 155-162 dbs depending on what kinda vehicle its in u can look at all this at http://www.memphiscaraudio.com
