New System Setup

I stuck with Audiobahn cause my buddy gave me a set of 15"'s a while back with a 2000 watt legacy amp and ive been happy with it... I couldnt imagine this setup wouldnt meet my needs... Anyway... My main question is... What are OHM's and how do you set up 1OHM 2OHM or 4OHM connections? I'm still pretty new to this... My current system in my car is definitly nothing special... Went with a single sub, hoping it would be equal to or more powerful than my two and not take up my whole trunk. Can't return the stuff... went through eBay and things like that... All deals are final... As for my cap... would I be able to just add another, or should I just look into getting a different one and resell the one I just got?

Would this be a good cap?

dude you ask for answers and then just do what you want...........dont bother asking......your 1 farad cap wont do anything to help your electrical

lol...

I ask for answers. Get nothing, make a decision and I get flamed for it? Whoa.. Your a jackass.

Come to think of it... Ive been flammed from the very beginning.

Someone can't read... They said don't use the cap at 1 OHM 2400.

At 2OHM's i'll be a little over 1000... It's not like it will be useless... Ive seen a .5 farad cap handle a 1200 watt amp just fine.

nevermind like i said youll just do what you want since you know soooooo much.........you dont even know what "OHMS are" and you want to argue? and youve seen a .5 farad capacitor handle a 1200 watt amp just fine? that is an idiotic statement capacitors dont handle amps

lol... Since you have so much knowledge of the answers I am seeking, why didn't you respond with an answer, rather than respond like an *** hat.

I never stated I knew a lot about audio equipment... Actually, if you can read, in the very beginning... I said I knew a little, but I am still new to this.

The cap holds reserve energy for the amp... Does it not? Reserving energy for the amp to supply it when the power is needed... How is that not handling an amp?

for the sake of argument your 1 farad capacitor wont really do anything but if you want to install it go ahead. if you need help wiring to a certain ohm load, ohms are a measure of resistance by the way 1 ohm= 1 volt per ampere, you'll need to say your voice coil configuration for the wiring to a certain ohm load. what other questions would you like answered?
