took out my big box and put my backseat back in, ran 1 of my pioneers in a downfiring console box but it was too big and in the way. So I got bored last night, had this old box layin around and decided to throw my pio in it. The sub wouldn't fit (box made for +/- 5.5" mounting depth, pioneer is over 7 iirc so I inverted it. It sounds awesome btw! specs are 1.5 @ 40hz

p.s. (the carpet is only temp, it's from a previous install and will be redone, the wiring on the sub will be cleaned up too btw)

does anyone know a way to "dress up" the wiring on the sub? I have some plastic wire loom stuff, but is there any other way? Tomorrow i'm going to cover the box in vinyl btw

z71 install correct? Looks good, I'd prefer to keep the leg room though.

Before you vinyl wrap the box, cut out a ring of mdf and use it to fit the sub in there like a normal person would. Inverted is just dumb, IMO. No offense.

That's what I may do, but it's like 2, almost 3 inches too deep to fit. Is it ok If I just stack a couple rings together??? Thanks for the replies

i would think so...but it might start to cover the vent holes behind the sub though...i don't think that would be good....

wtf are you talking about....he is wanting to know if he puts a couple mdf rings together to make a spacer so he can mount the sub in the box normal.
