what do you mean?
I mean, if you're planning on this nice TV, might as well have more than a HTIB to back it up. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have this great picture but run the tiny amps into clipping every time there's a movie soundtrack with lots of dynamics.

i have surround sound.

That's an EDTV, which has half the resolution of most HDTVs. In this day of cheap HDTVs, I wouldn't buy an EDTV just to save a couple hundred bucks.
what would you suggest? im gunna have about 1700 hopefully i wont spend that much though.

Do you have a Costco near by?

I f you do, go inside and tell them that you're not a member (if you aren't) but you're thinking about joining. Look for a 42" Philips plasma. There might be two types, one with a 'light' silver bezel around the screen (same color as the speakers), and one with a 'dark' bezel around the screen.

The one with the dark bezel is the one you want, it's the newer model. The one with the lighter grey bezel is junk, the color is too warm, and it's hazy, no matter how much you try to get it out.

It will be $1499.99. Also, when you buy it at Costco, it comes with a lifetime warranty, just hold onto the receipt, paperwork, and the remote.

They should also have a brand called Vizio. While the TV doesn't look as good as the Philips, it's only 1299.99 for a 42" plasma. So you might want to take a look at that as well.
