My system includes the McIntosh headunit, 2-way comps. 4.5 inch profi vanadiums in the front. Everything else is stock. The car is a 2002 porsche 911(996). The stock speakers in the car seem to sound better than the rainbows. The amp should be mor powerful because I can turn the volume to the maimum. Is it the amp that is affecting the sound quality of the rainbows? Are the 4.5 inch factory compatible size speakers too small for a good sound?

Any suggestions?

What I'm more amazed about is that he knew about the equipment, but needs to ask about an amp. The guy has good taste in equipment, he just needs to get more knowledge about how to make a system sound good; I.E. using the right amp for the job.

When I came here I didn't know about Rainbow and McIntosh...
