New System, Help Please

I want to hook up a new system in my car. Could someone please help me with a couple of questions, I have an ALPINE TYPE X 10'' SUBWOOFER, I need to buy an amplifier and some component speakers, probably four (2 each 6x9, and 2 each 5x7 or 5 1/2 inch, probably ALPINE. Is there any type amp i should buy specifically, or does name brand matter or what, second should i buy mono amp, or a 2 or 4 channel amp, or two separate amps, i do know what 2 and 4 ohm means, but i dont know how it relays to music or how to wire that, i get parallel, meaning all hots wired together and grounds wired together, i am not to good with all the lingo of these components so if someone could please help me with this, and please help me with the wiring aspect. ur gonna need 2 amps. One for components and one for sub. I would suggest a nice mono for the sub and 4-channel amp for the speakers. You need to know how the sub/speakers wire down to, then decide what amp will work best
