:New Substage Enclosure Questions:

My next setup will be 4 8-inch Tang Band subs. I use to have 6 back in the day and would like to do another setup with them. My last design I used for the box was 0.7 cu ft per sub which I was recommended to do by TalnLnky or however you spell it. The only different is with this box is I will be using aero ports. I will have 3 4 inch aero ports which I will recieve in the mail next week.

Question 1.) Does anybody know the displacement of a full length 4-inch aero port?

Question 2.) I was on psp-inc.com using the port calculator, and i was just wondering, do you put the box size AFTER sub and port displacement in the box size portion? or the whole size BEFORE displacement? And will the calulator apply for port aero automatically? I typed in that I wanted a 35 hz tuning using 2 4-inch aero ports, and the flare length was 15.35, so would that be 15.35 for both ports or in total?

if you havent noticed Im new to aero ports.

PEEL N SEAL RUINED THE TRUNK LID IN MY OLD CAR!!!! i got all the stain off with mineral spirits though. box was ugh...interesting...one of my ealier boxes....

i dont remember what they were tuned to but i used about 12 sq in of port per sub on the last box.
