Do the skar audio deal, 2 12's and box for 389. Or 2 15's for 449, just what ever you have space for.
None of these mentioned will come out "cheaper" then the W7 after you add the electrical upgrades to make them louder, much louder but still not cheaper after the fact.OK much better, so box is roughly 3.6 cubic ft..id go with fi btl, tc sound axis/lms, sundown audio 12" night shade..
or if you want to go cheaper there still fi Q, TC sound epics, dc lvl 2 12"s.. lol take your pick theres alot with how much you could change sizes in box and power.. all are MUCH better than jl audio w3s

Oh yeah lol or skars.. theres alot you could do man
Sorry but you just said i was incorrect.. when i clearly said dc lvl 2 and tc sound epics.. or even the fi audio q would be cheaper and still as good with the w7.. then you said a dc lvl 4 would work...None of these mentioned will come out "cheaper" then the W7 after you add the electrical upgrades to make them louder, much louder but still not cheaper after the fact.
If you want something comparable without needing "extras" look at the SSA ICON, AA Havoc, DC LEVEL 4 But the W7 has a unique sound, your not going to get that with anyother sub. To me its not all that but some swear by it.
1000 watts is fine for a level 4. Sorry I didnt catch your epic, level 2 part. I got stuck on the nightshade, BTL partSorry but you just said i was incorrect.. when i clearly said dc lvl 2 and tc sound epics.. or even the fi audio q would be cheaper and still as good with the w7.. then you said a dc lvl 4 would work... i don't understand how i was wrong in that case! haha
YES the nightshade, btl, and lms drivers would require alot to keep up voltage wise.... but i think the dc lvl 4 would as well.
Receiving help and advice is a great thing, but you will never know you've found the best sub for you if you are unwilling to invest the time to do the research, in-person listening/testing, etc.I dont have a lot of time on my hands for research these days.

The 10 12 and 15 all need the same power. It wont have the W7 SQ, not many subs will. More SPL is up to the install.I'm considering the Skar subwoofers. but I have a few questions. Is there a noticable difference in the sound quality between the 12'' and the 15''?
Will the 12'' be atleast equal to a w7 in sq/spl?
would it be ok to run the 15'' subwoofers off my current amp until i can get a new one?
my current amp is a mtx1000xd.
ok you have a prefab enclosure vs a custom same sub and all the one with the custom enclosure will sound way way better. its up to you how you want it to sound! you like lows real loud all up to you man..How would these compare to the w3's? what do you mean the spl is up to the install? They come with there own box. what else would be a factor?
