i'm thinking of parting with my XXX's. i want something crazy loud. i'm just a bass head, may do a little comp at the locals, but nothing big. I was thinking an MT, brahma, something along those lines. suggestions please?

um yeah... you're going to need a much netter amp for that sub.

Get both of the subs going in a large ported box tuned around 35 hz and lots of port area. Make sure your box is braced well. If you do not think they are loud at that point the go with more of an SPL sub.

alwith the tsx 10" or 12" you really need at least 500 watts per sub for them to really strat making some noise. and with the ssi, you need more like 800-1000 watts per sub to make them happy. and the ssi's really like to be ported.

treo's big here man. their hq is here, the local major audio shop is on their nutts. that's mostly the brand i will be competing with when i do go to dbdrag. that's all most of them have. one guy came on the line with 2 dd 10s in horn enclosures with duct tape on them. everyone laughed at him when he got in the lane, but he put up 151, everyone shutup.

151 aint really that loud. a truck around here with two ssx 12"s was putting up 164+
