new sub time...need opinions.

i feel like getting something new.

i want something louder..and im willing to sacrifice SQ a bit.

ive got an Orion 2500d, and plenty of room for a box.

current setup is a 12W7.

i wanna spent

i was looking into..

a pair of RL-p 15's

RE MT 12 or 15

MTX 9500 15

DD 9512 or 9515...if i can get a reasonable price

Brahma 15

and im very open to suggestions.

i wouldnt think that there would be a real gain, if any at all, between my W7 and a SI Mag.

but i havent ever heard or used an mag, so i cannot say.

I'm on my second 15" Brahma and I love it.. You won't be giving up any SQ.. I replaced my 2 12W6v2's with the Brahma and couldn't be happier.. I had always regretted getting rid of my first one.. The first one I had was ported, and now I'm running sealed and like it much better.. I'd recommend Adire's product all day long.. I'm actually thinking about adding another one, but I am happy with just the one for now.. Be careful with that 2500d on it though.. It doesn't need nearly that much to move it to it's full xmax.. I'm running mine with my 1000/1 and it's more than enough, even in the sealed box.. These things get REALLY low, and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised over the w7.. Hope this helps..

Thermally, yes. Mechanically, well it's all about the box.. Adire has a nice writeup on it on their site which explains power requirements and box sizes:

oof, far too expensive...i could just buy another W7 with that much $.

yeah I am in the same boat as you with the w7. I am gonna try a ported box first for a couple weeks. then, I already made my decision though and that is 2 12 inch arc flats powered by 2 2300se arcs. I wonder how big the difference will be.
