new sub, thinking L7 12

i have a new box its 3.3 cu ft at 41 hz and i need a new sub, i have a a8002t amp i was thinking of an L7 would that be a good choice id like to stay around the price of an L7 around 225 or so ,

41hz...if youre ever gonna meter it, play something like nellys country grammar. the high(ish) bass will do wonders. my box w/ my l7 was 3.5 cu at 44hz n metered best with that song. $0.02 as for the sub...sure. i liked my L7's while they lasted. just dont give em too much of a beating. i blew mine 4 times before being sick of sendin' em back and forth again.

are you still gonna keep that type r, those sound real good but it lacks spl like other subs. i have an SX and the spl on it is awsome. i would highly reccommend it to anyone. 250 + shipping. great support with them

If you buy an L7, go ported, w/o a doubt.

refurbished isnt bad, talk to polecat and he will tell you they only use basket and magnet and the rest is new

put my L7s in a new ported box yesterday..i wasnt seeing a real big difference, tuned my amp a little and wow....HUGE difference.. SQ is just as good as it was sealed.. i just have more rattles now :-\
