Currently Im running a single 12" RE se/x 12 d2 w/ 500watts rms in 2.2@ 33. It preforms well, but like alot of you here... I want more, more more. Im thinking about either another identical sub with a new box, say 4.0'^3 @ 28 with hopes of more SQ, and more spl due to lower tuning and twice as much sub and also more power, say like a dsc 1500 or 2000. (gotta love a run on sentence....lol) May even entertain the thought of doing (2) of the said subs sealed if I wont be lacking in terms of output...Either that, or just buy another single 12" sub like an icon or ID max among many other good subs I could chose. Just need some guidance on what would make sense. I plan to use my current MBQ 4125 as the front stage amp only and upgrade my alt to about 170~amps and add kinetics up front, and a smaller one out back. ID xs comps would soon follow in kicks up front and the door speakers would be some type of dedicated 6.5" midbass. Anyway, I just want to know if Im right in thinking that more cone area and power with lower tuning or even sealed would out preform the spl i already have to make it worth wild while improving my sub stage SQ.....Thanks in advance for any input.
