New sub? Advice please...

I currently have an EDi 130v.3 in a 1cf sealed box, and an EDi NINe.2x amp pushing 600 watts. Sound is decent...

I am probably buying a set of Rainbow Germaniums, and will bi-amp them with a DLS A7 amp. If I get a new sub with a D2, I'll be able to take advantage of 600 watts @ 1ohm offered by the A7. I am looking for SQ first, SPL second.

I'm thinking about a Rainbow Vanadium sub, but at D4, I'll only be able to get around 440 watts to the sub.

So I can go with the Rainbow with 440 watts, or go with another brand of sub that I can utilize 600 watts at 1ohm (TC, Fi, ID?), OR I can keep the EDi sub, and install a 3sixty.2 that will give me more tuning ability to the sub stage (as well as for the comps).

Thoughts, comments? Thanks in advance.

Its good to see a new comer that can articulate well. Anyway, welcome. IMO The JL W3 is very efficient. 440 watts would make it sound excellent, now I only offer the JL as an option when someone is looking for great sq with minimal power. I don't have first hand knowledge with all the popular subs on this site, but there are a lot of people who do. I'm sure someone will offer some other good options.

Good luck

what dont you like about your bass right now?

what do you want more of or less of?

Diplexers...thanks.

60ndown...The EDi struggles a bit with upper frequencies...say above 50hz...a bit muddy. Low end extension is pretty good, as well as overal output. I just don't know how well they would blend with the Germaniums.
