Wow, is that true? I was under the impression the U.S. based GZ was a spin-off of the Euro company, not the other way around.I'm not sure what else the Euro-GZ company stole (they stole the GZ company and line names from the US company years ago), but it wouldn't surprise me if they off'd the basket too.
Never heard the old Mag, but they are highly praised around here for their SQ. Are the new ones going to match the old SQ? Obviously, you guys said they don't need as much power/as big a box to match the output of the old ones, but what about SQ?
Would you rather have 1 new Mag powered by 500w or two new BMs off 500w? I kinda wanted to go ported with my next sub choice, as I have never had a ported box, so what size box/port tune is recommended for the Mag?
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14182 That listening test was done with 275 watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifIs the BM going to be offered in only D4 now?
How well will the Mag work with just 400-500W?
Pretty simple really - if you can't fit 12" of height, then buy something else.I get your point about "BOX SIZE of a eight or ten fitting a twelve so why not have a twelve?"
but what about speaker circumferance? not everyone can/wants 12 inches. period.
