Those are fugly.

Better sound a lot better than they look. I wouldn't expect any less from SI, though.

But as you say, of course, they will perform exceptionally, as all the reviews claim.

Yeah, I kinda thought that too when I saw his recone thread a while back. Well, no hate for using the same basket, something truly unique in that area would probably be prohibitive cost-wise. However, that perfectly illustrates what I mean by the polishing....like those!

Ive yet to see an around the motor frame that I liked. I definitely wouldn't invert these if I bought em. But looks mean squat to actual performance.

Eh...I don't think I'd go that far...I like it...if it came in maybe a dark blue, I'd like it even better but thats just me!

As far as market goes, Trucks Trucks and more trucks, as well as people who don't want to sacrafice storage and such in their vehicles. For me I can't possible make my trunk or SUV area taken up 100% by audio, sorry can't do it as much as I love a good system. This is also probably why I have always gone sealed for my systems. Currently my naw system will be based totally around the new mag (or maybe BM's) 2 new mags sealed in my center console, or maybe 4 mags sealed behind the back seat if possible, or if not, maybe 4 BM's sealed behind my back seat.

I would think there would be tons of market for a sub such as this, to me it would be a perfect daily sub, tucked away in the side of the trunk or cargo area, or pushed up towards the front of the trunk firing to the seat and still maintain enough trunk space to put stuff in there. BM's could most likely be squeezed under some seats without much trouble, extended cab or some crew cab trucks or even more stealth than the Mag's in trunk installs.

Also Pioneer and Kicker and others seem to think there is a market for the shallow mounts. I'm not sure how well the BM's sound or put out but what would you guys rather have a Pioneer or maybe Earthquake shallow mount or a new BM?

Honestly after seeing the polished Konaki basket I wouldn't mind getting a Mag like that for my center console. Its not the prettiest but I don't think it looks awful, would rather see that than a flamed bahn rearing its ugly head.

see, this is what irks me, people claim to want something different than the 12 spoke design, but when somebody steps out of the box and its not what there used to seeing its ugly/cheap/chinese
