Just installed a new Power Acoustik double din unit in a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP.My constant power, ground, and speakers matched up perfectly. I ran an Add a fuse to the fuse box for switched power. I used the Power Ant wire to power the amp (it's a monsoon system).
The sound you're hearing only comes from the front left speaker. Even with the sound all the way down its still present. The radio originally ran fine for about 4 days with a slight hiss. Then one day I got in the car, started it up, and this...
I've tried grounding the unit directly to the chassis of the car (used speaker wire and attached one end to the unit and the other to multiple bolts to see if one would remove the noise). Also tried grounding the rcas to the unit, and even removed the rcas completely. Still there. I've also tried multiple fuse slots to see if the one I was using (power sun roof) was interfering.
Here's a link to couple pics of the unit. As you can see the rcas are proprietary plug in the back of the unit. So I'm not sure how I would use a ground loop isolator in this case?
Help anybody!!!?
