New Stereo In Old Car

I have a 1962 Pontiac and I want a radio that will fit into the dash with the two knob holes and have the radio to work with a single cd player(just a cd player) head unit connected to it. Do You know of any ideas. If I did that would one with a aux connection on the back of it work with the cd player head unit. But I don't know where to find radios like that to fit my car that have aux connections.

i just cut the area with the holes out and rigged my aiwa in there...dont know much about two knobbed stereos and auxillery...i would just buy a HU with both radio and cd and cut the hole

Dunno what the dash is like in the Poncho, but in my Olds there's a plastic woodgrain panel (see my avitar) that covers the factory radio. I bit the bullet and hacked it with a Dremmel tool to fit a new style radio. Took me a day 'cuz I was scared shitless of messing it up. Came out nice, and worth the hassle.

Of course if you're into showing the car or keeping it original, a CD player hidden in the glove box works too. Not real convenient though.
