that really doesnt have much to do with it, I have used old *** RCAs I found in the basement and havent gotten alternator whine

i didnt even touch my RCA's when i put in the speakers, they were already hooked up , the only thing that came close to them was the speaker wire when i ran it to the back, could that be it? My RCAs are all brand new fosgates

You say the whine started after you put in your CDTs and you didn't touch anything else. My guess is you've always had some alt whine, but couldn't hear it due to your previous speakers. Just my guess. When i had whine i moved my ground about 6" and it went away.

I actually get the whine whenever I put my sub speakers too close to my RCA's. Try to seperate them, I think it will eliminate the problem.

I thought about that but im pretty sure it just started, i got my old speakers last summer, theres no way i wouldntve noticed it. I guess ill clean up my wires tonight, theyre all in a big wad behind my box in my trunk becuse ive been to lazy to zip tie.

You got pulled over because of the CDT's or something else you were doing, that is where I am confused.

Try replacing the rca's, might have some bad ones. Happened to me a couple times.

I got pulled over cause my bass but i had my system so loud because I wanted to test out the CDT's. I got off though luckily, woman cops are too nice lol. And thanks for the advice, although i really hope its not my RCA's im tired of tearing my car apart.

i have heard of it before i just was hoping it was something besides my alternator, because like i said i didnt touch my RCAs last night when it started which is usually what causes it

I wouldn't HIGHLY recommend EF-61's, but they are decent for the price.

i dont know how you had them tuned but my vocals are super clear and crisp, the regular cones may have sounded bad but the fiberglass makes a big difference

its road noise how is your wires run if you run your rca's close to the power it get the sound of the motor through the speakers
