new speakers, do i need a harness?

Just got new Pioneer speakers. Do i need a special harness to hook them up to my factory wiring? also, am i missing anything for my setup?

New pioneer HU(590ib) + schoche harness(FD02? i have questions about this for focus people) + install kit

pioneer 5300 amp(+ wiring kit---includes: black tube, power wire, speaker wire, turn-on wire, fuse holder, ground wire, fuses, some other kind of wire forgot what for...4 guage power wire btw...

2 12" kicker CVT + sealed box(got the sonic box from sonicelec, if it sucks i'll make my own--was only $39)

also...anyone with the blaupunkt radio, it says the FD02 wiring harness doesnt fit on crutchfield.com, that i have to use a VW01 model...sonic has both models, but says the VW wont work...they are sending me the FD02 as part of the free wiring kit...i even called to make sure because it definitly says, "IF YOU HAVE A FACTORY BLAU RADIO, USE THE VW01...should i buy this seperate, or hope the FD works??

you will need a harness if you want to hook it up to your factory clips. if not you could cut them off, and just wire it right to your speaker terminals

The only place you should be using a harness is with your head unit, because head units are a BIT*H to hook up without harnesses. Just cut off the clips on your factory wiring and figure out which is pos and negative.

Looks like you have everything you need.

Also 4 way speakers are a gimmick, you only needed 3 ways. And that box your using is probably going to ****. Look into building a better box for your subs, but if you like it, go for it.

thanks for the replys...

i was getting their ported, but it was out of stock--pretty much i just wanted one, to decide whether or not i wanted the other type of box...so i could build it myself!

and why are 4-ways a gimmick? are they worse than 3-ways? i was just thinking there would be clearer highs and mids there...although i heard the guy at ABC tell me to make sure both tweeters work...he had almost all of the 5-ways come back last year.
