New speakers bass sounds distorted

Hi I've installed some kicker cs 65 in the front doors of my 98 corolla and the bass on them sound a lil distorted. im using a pioneer 44000HD head unit with 50wx4 rms. ive installed a speaker baffle on one of the speakers and it did improve some sound quality but not completely. i know there's some air leaks around the speaker where its mounted to my old bracket and im not sure if that is the reason or not or if i just need a good 4 channel amp. im thinking of getting the hifonics zrx600.4 because I'm also purchasing some more speakers for the rear deck.

Another question I have is. Should i use speaker baffles? And my rear speakers are exposed to the trunk and I have a 15CVX so should I use speaker baffles in the rear as well so that my sub doesnt mess up my speakers?

if you turn the head unit up past 50% you'll hear distortion. also, you want to make sure the speaker seals against the door panel well, like this:
