hi im new to the forums and figured id see what you guys think of this setup and if and changes should be made. im putting in a 3 way system in my bmw, composed of a 6inch Seleniums 6w4p, a 4inch Dayton RS100S, and finished with a Dayton DC25T. i wanted to know what would be a decent crossover, and what would be the most effective way to wire to a Kx850.4.

what would be a good active crossover? and im not too familer on active cross overs i would only need one before the amp right?

you'd use the HU or the amp, or both...

head unit, there a couple good head units that have the capablility to do a 3 way crossover, the alpine 9887, the pioneer 800 and 880, the clarion 785 and 9255 off the top of my head. i believe the clarion 785 would be the least expensive on the list, but as far as other features and quality besides the 3 way crossover i know nothing about the individual units and can't give a recommendation beyond the general i already have

now see i was going to do 4 , 3 way passive crossovers (with a 3 octave change between each channel) for the application. why wouldn't that be the way to go ?
