New Soundstream Reference Amps

Friend i am not trying to sound ugly or anything but if your not reading the PA&S Mag review in detail, then how can you be arguing what they have said. I will take the time to post the quote for you I guess.

Quote..........."Oddly, it’s rated at 380 watts bridged into

4 ohms, but that doesn't coincide with the 2 ohm stereo rating, so

I considered it a misprint."

RATING 380 Watts times 2....sound stream rated this.

REAL RATING 247 time 2 at 12.4 volts

REAL RATING 324 times 2 at 14.4 volts

I hope you are able to find this quote I have listed.

Any way we all have our own opinion and you seem to like them, thats great, IMO if that is the best they have put out in 10 year, i am sitting here wondering how they are still in business.

Doubt that lol

I will admit that I lost interest after the buyout and after my friend left that was a regional rep.....but I had 15 reference amps and 4 rubicon amps at my disposal in the closet so I really didn't care...If you ask around about me, you may see..kinda new to this forum but by no means "new" I mainly lurked at some old forums, hell, some not even around anymore....lol..but I have no problem sharing the role dave..

Damage, are the ref1.1000 available? I've got ALL my equipment (including the badboy 4.920) sitting here but must have the sub amp as well before I take apart my truck interior to install everything. I have been, err, patiently waiting for the 1.1000 to be released but have started to wonder if it's gonna happen. Obviously there are many other amps to choose from, but I personnally like the look of matched amps from a display standpoint. I need my 1.1000... BAD! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The gentleman right above me has it listed but here it is again.

PS. I do not remember the heyday of Sound Stream amps, i was using Orion's at that time but i do remember no one would touch them because they were afraid they would burn their ride to the ground.
Only amp they had issues with were 10.0's run at 1 ohm and under. Cause of death was rumored as bad motorola chips in the first bath or 2 of the 10.0. Never heard of fires started with the amp. I would take a 3.0 or a 6.0 over most amps even still to this day.
