The new Human Reign amps use the same boards and balanced fets as the older ones. Assembled overseas, but so is alot of Zapco. They have done alot of research on them in last 2 years and by far would rate them up there with the nicer amps.

ID isn't god.

I never liked the sound stream at all but like i said i never used it. Our local stereo shop dropped them because they kept burning up, but that was years and years ago. From what i have read the new sound Stream is not very good but you know how second hand information is but it was enough to make me know i would never try any of their amps.

I am a MAJOR Image Dynamics junkie myself. One thing i can tell you is that those Ref amps are not going touch the ID Q1200.1.

I can't speak for the new ref amps either, but my guess is you are probably right ksan...i think my modified rubi 1002 though will give it a run for its $...but i can't honestly say as I have not played with one yet

Funny. How do you KNOW this? If you have never ran them it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to know this for a fact.

For a balanced SQ setup, regulated power supplies are what I would recommend as well.

Glad to see you put so much faith in second hand information.

I have yet to hear of an ORIGINAL Reference go up in smoke. The S and SX line yes...Original Ref...NO

I've seen a few good amps blow up.....it happens.

can i ask why you say this? I have a balanced system using unregulated amps and have had many top tier ears in my car giving me thumbs up
