new single cab setup

has to work with my memphis 1000d which is 1100 watts at 1 ohm , i want it to be louder than my 12'' re se in a 2.5 cuft ported box only on 600 watts. Honestly i am just concerned about spl because all i listen to is rap sq is not my main concern , i was thinking about something like 4 12'' cvr's sealed or 2 10'' kicker l7's ported , or maybe a stronger single 12'' ported , suggestions ?

Yeah I know but I just threw it out there because the Q is just supposed to be their SQ driver not really SPL. But the Q should more than beat the SE. I liked my SE10 but it was just wasn't right....

I was thinking the same thing basschase, I have a reg. cab ford f-150 also (1995 though). My max mount depth is about 6 inches, so I can really only fit the X's back there.

x2 on the mounting depth of the BL.

It would be very difficult to find room to give each one enough space to work. I would rather see 2 or 3 with plenty of space to breather rather then have 6 cramed into an undersized box.

Getting loud in a reg cab takes somthing thinking out side of the box, one advantage is the small "cabin" space in of which the cab takes. It does not take as much power/output to get it "loud" Personally I would think 2 well powerd 8's would be more then enough to satisfy. My single 8" setup can almost make it uncomfertable to be in the truck. I would love to see a dual 8 setup with plenty of power!

For me personally, 8's when perperly installed can impress even the most avid bassheads. Going from a piar of IA LI 12's to a single 8W7 would seem like quite a loss in output but, I am rather happy with its output. It might not be as loud, or hit as hard but it deffenetly puts out enough bass for me, and impresses most of the ppl who have seen it.
