New Budget Sound Quality Setup. Minimal setup - 1x 10" Sub

First off I wanted small, clean, and quality. This setup is for a client of mine that is looking to add good clean bass. They insisted on a single 10" sub for space reasons, he wants to have a functional trunk after these. So heres what I came up with...

SUB : Alpine SWR1043D 4Ohm (600w RMS)

AMP : KENWOOD KAC-8105D (500w RMS at 2 Ohm)

BOX : Custom Sealed Box (12.5x14x9)

Since the sub is DVC 4 Ohm I will wire it in par. so it is 2 Ohm and gets all 500w from the amp. I got crazy good deals on all the items and cost for me should be slightly over 200. What do you guys think, pretty good deal? I hope its not to weak but from the sounds of it he really isn't expecting to set off car alarms.

get the sub in dual 2 and wire it to 1 ohm and buy a cheaper amp

i have a kenwood amp but its 1 ohm stable.

went with the kenwood amp only because of low cost, have a dealer friend that sells them to me for 80? i couldn't find anything comparable for 80 bucks online plus gotta pay tax and shipping on a lot of sites? are kenwoods bad, i've used them in installs before haven't had a call yet. most my clients are people that know nothing about car audio and aren't doing competitions.

kenwoods are fine for minimal set ups or first time set ups, i have a kenwood pushing my 2 12s and it does fine.

That's the same amp I'm using its not 1000w its 500w at 2 ohm 300w at 4 ohm. anyway ill post back here once its finished.

Sounds like a cheap upgrade over the stock system. I am not a fan of Kenwood, sealed, or alpine (other than there HU’s) but for under $200 should sound pretty decent.

if he wants more boom, but doesnt want to give trunk space, he could look into IB.

15" is $150 and will love 500 watts

It's a 1000 watt max, i know it's 500@2, because that's what i have it wired to take.
