New Setup Comments?

Hey,

well basically this is my first build been over much review and i was wondering what you guys thought about it and what your opinions are on if i should go with something else or not. Basically what i tried to build is a system with good SPL but also SQ as i like to listen to all different kinds of music so i cant have all out SPL. so any comments would be much appreciated.

HU - Sony CDX-GT710

Subwoofer - 2 Alpine SWR-1222d (2 ohm 12 inch type-r's 500w RMS each)

Amp - Alpine MRP-M1000 (1000x x1 @ 2ohms)

Box - Going to be my first im making it its going to be slot ported with a box volume of 4ft^3 (2ft^3 each sub) port tuned to 32hz.

Second Battery - Kinetik HC800 going to be installed in the trunk

Again Any Comments would be much appreciated

the car this is going into is a 1998 sunfire gt

yeah im looking into components i just want to get this out of the way first and than ill start getting my components set up.

what i have been looking at so far is:

Alpine 6 1/2" Components 2-Way Speakers (SPR-17S)

im not sure on an amp yet im thinking maybe a

Rockford Fosgate 2-Channel Car Amplifier (P400-2)

im not sure exactly what kind of amp i would need to power that comp system

I'd get a different HU like the KDC-X492. And look in to the new Pioneer TS-D1720C comps; they'll have a lot better midbass response than the Type R comps, imo.

right now i already have the deck and the lights on the deck kind of dim when i have my system up loud at night. its only once i turn my car lights on that my decks led's dim. would the second battery the kinetik hc800 take care of this problem or do i need a stronger alt. also between the two which would you recommend if both could take care of the problem and power the whole system.

also my sister installed a pair of rear speakers about 4 years ago and i have no idea what the wattage is of them could this be the problem?

also try getting a pdx amp. very good power.

yeah i want that pdx 1000.1 only problemis im getting a nice deal on the mrp-m1000 that i cant turn down. i mean both about the same deal 1000w x1 at 2 ohm which is what im going to be using the pdx will cost me minimum of $400 off of a person so used im getting my mrp for $260 off of best buy factory fresh. definetly love the pdx though just cant justify the price difference
