new receiver problem

well i got my receiver that i ordered off ebay, and when i first turned it on the display bulb decided to burn out. he said if i shipped it back to him he could fix it, but that would cost me $40 which i dont want to spend and really cant right now. does anyone know where i could buy a bulb and how to replace it? my receiver is a yamaha rx-v670.

for a new bulb, i think your best bet is a little mom-and-pop repair shop

Sounds really fishy to me.... I don't believe there is any type of bulb in that display.....

well in the ebay auction it showed it working, and i really have no clue about this stuff

Did you take it apart to see if there was a bulb? Because it looks like a led liquid crystal combo....
