It doesn't matter unless you want to pay $2,500 to $3,000 for a HCCA 5000 watt Class D amplifier that only resembles the great HCCAs from the 80s and 90s.

Is it me or could you just about strap, oh let's say a pair of ANY strappable 3,000 watt competition amplifiers together, and end up with more power while being less expensive than the MAP and MSRP on the Orion? What do refurb SAZ-3000ds go for... $800 shipped from dB-r?

Yes, but you and I know that these new amps are completely different animals from when Richard LeMay was in control of Orion. LeMay's philosophy was to spare no expense in providing a quality product whereas DEI's philosophy is to make it as cheaply as possible to maximize profit!
