hey all, new here and don't know much about car audio.

But i have AF 6.5 Memphis speakers but now i want to get a sub(s) and an amp and box....

I heard Memphis are really good (the Mojo series) i heard....

What would be my best bet for a budget around $850?

I mean... if i have to save up a bit more then i would...

I have a VW jetta so could i fit in a 15" in a box?

Im looking for something that bangs out and could hit those low beats, ya know?

Well... any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW what is the best memphis sub out right now?

I would rather get one great sub and amp then 2 good subs and amp and then buy another great sub later on

It'll run you about 340+ shipping then get a custom box, if not it would be a waste of money.

^^ thats even more of a beast than the bl, also cost about $100 more and needs a bigger box. Well.... this fi btl is that like 1 15 inch? or what? how much would one of those and a box cost me? and i don't use my trunk. and i would like to spin quit a few heads. well mainly i just want to get loud and be able to hit the low beats and maybe be wake up the neighborhood hood.

but anyways... i really dont know, i hate dealing with this. i usually just go to the sound audio people and ask them to put shit in it.

one btl is plenty, search fi btl 15 on youtube and you'll see what it can do. and yes the fi btl 15 is one sub woofer. a fully loaded fi btl would run you $470+ shipping and a box it depends on what you want, i personally dont make boxes so i wouldnt know what to tell you, however there are plenty of people that make boxes on this forum all you'd have to do is pm one of them for a quote.

and just for the record I'm in no way shape or form affiliated with fi.

Audioque HDC3 15 with a Aq 2200D. Use what's left to make a box and some 1/0 wiring. That combo is like 389 for the amp and I believe 290 shipped for the sub.

when i said search youtube i meant so you could see the flexing and as of right now i dont have an fi sub in my car but i have seen what they can do and i do have one in the works

flexing is your systems ability to move your cars body panels and windows,,for showing off to the masses its good but for winning a comp,not so much

Ahh Okay.

So what would be a better choice...

Something like the 15-MOJO15D2

Or

BTL15 or maybe 18 with add ons (even though i don't know what the add ons are for)

then i would need an amp.. and a box... and wires.. ahhhh

But either way, i feel like my car is going to like break down on me with something like these in it or my windows cracking.

dont worry your not going to break any windows it's not as easy as it looks.im not sure on how big a jetta's trunk is but i would think an 18 would be a bit cramped in there.the btl 15 and a beefy amp to push it would be good.Im not to fond of the mojo's they havent impressed me much
