new mtx sledgehammers

not the performance, the lifespan. i had a shop near me that was running 2 15 Crazys and the magnet broke off of the basket so they had to steal reinforce it. so in that case it broke. like i said they have a tendancy to break

If you have been reading the post as long as i have you would notice that most of the people that dog audiobahn will agree that Audiobahn sucks balls until you buy the good subs for example the 05, Immortals, Eternals, Alum, and AWT series. Of course there are some who still don't like audiobahn no matter what. I used the eternals in my last setup, before i got my treo's, As for the L7's i did about 12 installs all ported except for 1, and that was because of customer preference. I didn't say anything about amps.. i just use audiobahn cuz they have what i want. Ive heard L7's in custom boxes and prefab boxes in addition to the boxes that i have built for them and they are loud and do have good SQ. The main reason why people say audiobahn sucks is because noobs go down to circuit city and buy the cheap audiobahns in prefab bandpass or sealed boxes.

That is very true i do agree with the part about people only hearing them at circuit city. but at the same time i also can say that i never really preferred audiobahns. secondly the sub is only the small part of a system you have to have a good amp and the right tuned box to make a sub play at its potential. for example i was reading that a guy with two l7' 10's beat a another person who had a solo x 12. by two db's. so yes i think that the l7' is great and it not very very pricey and could almost satisfy anyone. 3rd. i know you didnt say anything about amps but the sub only does good if your running it off a good amp and have the setting right and giving the sub the power it needs. so that was why i was curious as to what amp u was running the l7's off of.

first id like to say wow those W7's hit hard and get low-i felt my heart tremble in my chest. they had 4 car replica's set up across the expo luckily jl and mtx wasnt'nt too far apart to compare the two. on the mtx 9500's- you ever been in a gun fight? these subs sound like a machine going off!! we put in a pantera cd(vulgar display of power-R.I.P. DIMEBAG) in the hu and those subs just about knocked me through the plexyglass window. the subs didnt skip a beat clean and extremly punchy and loud! i wasnt too empressed with mtx's amps you can hear alot of noise coming out of those amps-and when we really cranked it clipped once but the mtx sales guy fixed the loose rca.

in the jl car wasnt impressed at all with their new zr components but those werent for me im sure somebody likes them-hell i like infinity reference components. anyways was very impresssed with the W7's spl abilities-the subs have very good linear excursion and stay cool. as far as sq is concerned it depends on what your listening to while playing master p the mega low notes were warm and clean but while listening to metalica the bass was "flutterd" and mashed together. the jl salesman played with the tuning but it only improved allitle. i would definently commit to buying jl amps- very iffecient in full power at 12.5 volts compared to mtx's 14.4 rating. overal summary mtx 9500 are designed for all types of music and are a true sqspl sub- jl W7's are 100 percent "clean" spl-not good for rock or blues. sales man commented on this and said jl built the sub around "hip-hop" and "house"-drum and bass and that the W7 was not inteded for sq.

You're such a ******** noob that you don't even know how to correclty identify the subwoofers you're wanting...jackass...

The sledgehammer is a line of pre-loaded subwoofer enclosures. The can come with 7500 series, 8500 series, and 9500 series...in all different sizes and numbers. SO, there is NO "sledgehammer" woofer...

DOUCHE!
