New member with two cars!!

Hi everybody

Was looking around different forums and decided to register here after seeing all the awesome posts by people. Hopefully I can get help and help others also!

I bought a 1996 Impala SS yesterday and am getting a Tahoe (2001-2006) in a couple weeks. I have most of my system ready for both cars just need some advice on the sub set ups.

For the Impala I have a Pioneer AVH-P4400BH, Infinity Kappa 6.5 components for the front doors, 6.5 coaxial for the back doors, MB Quart ONX4.80 to push them and 2 MB Quart ONX1.2000Ds to push the subs which I still don't have! Looking to put 2 12s in the rear deck

For the Tahoe I have Infinity Kappa coxials (6.5, 5.25, & 3.25) also a ONX4.80 and 2 MB Quart ONX1.1600D to push the subs. Also just missing the subs! Looking to put 2 12s behind the third row.

I'm planning on getting these subs called POPS made here in Chicago that are 1000 Watts RMS and from what I heard sound good

Personally, the name "POPS" is too akin to the term "may-pops" for me to consider buying a subwoofer with that name....but I do not know anything about them, so they might be good subs....and maybe not...how much are the 1000watt rms 12's each?

haha you guys are funny. The Impala is what I drive and the Tahoe is for the girlfriend to use. She is using a Mercedes ML430 right now but I like the Tahoe better so the ML is for sale //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also, I had the 500 watt RMS ones which sound amazing and were $160 for the pair and sounded better then my L7s, Type-Rs, and SA12s. They sounded good both sealed and ported and hopefully the 1000 watt RMS ones sound just good but louder!! I believe they are $160 each for those. I was pushing 1000 Watts RMS to the cheaper ones and they handled it perfect, better then my Polk SRs

I have the Impala, 99 ML430 which is for sale, a Tahoe which I'm just waiting on the dealer to finish the paper work and 2 95 Civics so technically 4 or 4.5 since the Tahoe isnt at my house yet

The 430 is a stout engine I have one in my Benz coupe and it will sit you back in the seat......

Doesnt feel the same in the ML as it does in the car. The 5.3 feels faster and more torque then the ML does from my experiences

Never heard of the subs you are referring to. But I can tell you I car audio you do get what you pay for good luck. I very much doubt they will take a true 1000 watts rms. for that price tho
