Hey fellas, just wanted to say hello to the other members. Can a senior member direct me to the proper thread or a link to help me out please. I'm having an issue with my amp. At least I think it's the amp. All of my wiring is good and secure. The issue is that when I turn up the volume on the head unit my subs will cut out. I've tried literally everything. What I have noticed though is that if I keep my hand on the amp (to keep it from shaking) it will play the bass notes. WTF! My amp is mounted to the non ported box under the rear seat with the proper mounting screws. Does anyonehave any experience with this issue?

chances are it a bad connection. i NEVER recommend mounting amps to anything that would vibrate. no matter how good the connection/solder EVERYTHING has a resonant frequency. remove the amp from the box find another location and try that. you might get lucky and the connection is good enough if not you might have to find the connection..

Just saw your post. Thanks, I did relocate the amp about a week ago and that solved it. I just don't understand how the vibration could cause it to cut out. Thanks for the advice.
